Lamborghini Urus SE Arrives in Singapore with Plug-In Hybrid Powertrain

Lamborghini’s top-selling model, the Urus, now welcomes a new, more powerful sibling to its lineup in Singapore—the Lamborghini Urus SE. Available alongside the Urus S and Urus Performante, the Urus SE stands out as the most powerful SUV Lamborghini has ever produced, and it's the first to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Priced at $1.15 million before COE and options, the Urus SE combines a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering an impressive 789bhp and 950Nm of torque. This power is transferred through an eight-speed automatic transmission to an all-wheel-drive system, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The sprint to 200 km/h is achieved in 11.2 seconds, making it faster than the Urus S and Performante, which offer 657bhp and 850Nm of torque.

The Urus SE’s electric motor alone generates 189bhp and 483Nm of torque, allowing for zero-emissions driving over a distance of more than 60 kilometers, thanks to its 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery. When asked about platform modifications to support the hybrid system, Francesco Scardaoni, Lamborghini’s Region Director for Asia Pacific, confirmed updates to the Urus' platform, particularly to the all-wheel-drive system. A new Centre Hang-On Differential and Rear E-Differential help optimize torque distribution for improved handling and performance.

In addition to the hybrid system, the Urus SE introduces Lamborghini’s "Electric Performance Strategies," which offer four distinct driving modes: EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge. These contribute to a total of 11 different driving settings for a versatile experience.

On the exterior, the Urus SE distinguishes itself with a new floating bonnet, Matrix headlamps, and redesigned bumper and front grille. The rear end features a new tailgate with a taillight grille, Y-line connected taillights (inspired by the Lamborghini Gallardo), and improved underbody air vents, which boost engine cooling by 15%.

Inside, Lamborghini has enhanced the "feel like a pilot" cockpit design with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen and an updated Human Machine Interface (HMI) featuring more intuitive controls. The tactile feel of the mechanical push-button panel has also been improved.

As with all Lamborghini models, clients can customize their Urus SE through the Ad Personam program, which offers more than 100 exterior bodywork options and 47 interior color combinations. Customers can even specify their own paint hues and embroidery designs, ensuring their Urus SE is truly one of a kind.
