Lamborghini has introduced the Urus SE, a groundbreaking 789hp plug-in hybrid super SUV equipped with a 25.9kWh battery, designed to dominate both urban and rugged terrains.

The revamped Lamborghini Urus SE boasts a fresh design, enhanced aerodynamics, cutting-edge technology, and a powerful hybrid powertrain. This advanced hybrid system not only increases power and torque but also reduces emissions by an impressive 80%.

Performance and Powertrain

Debuting at Auto China Beijing, the Urus SE showcases a robust 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery paired with an electric motor generating 189hp and 483Nm of torque. Combined with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 internal combustion engine, the Urus SE delivers a remarkable total output of 789hp and 950Nm of torque.

This electrified powerhouse accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds, reaching 200km/h in 11.2 seconds, and achieving a top speed of 312km/h, making it the fastest production car in the Super SUV segment according to Lamborghini.

Design and Technology

The Urus SE features a redesigned hood, matrix LED headlights with a distinctive new light signature, and a revamped bumper and front grille. The rear end includes a redesigned tailgate, spoiler, diffuser, and taillights, giving the SUV a more aggressive and refined look.

Inside, the cabin has been meticulously updated to reflect Lamborghini’s “feel like a pilot” design philosophy. Enhancements include redesigned air vents, updated seat and dashboard coverings, and a new, more tactile mechanical pushbutton panel.

The centerpiece of the updated interior is a larger 12.3-inch center screen running Lamborghini’s latest infotainment system with graphics similar to those in the Revuelto. This screen, in conjunction with the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, offers comprehensive driver assistance displays and a dedicated telemetry system for the Urus SE.

Driving Modes and Electric Performance

With its new electric capabilities, the Urus SE offers six driving modes and four Electric Performance Strategies (EPS). The modes include three for road and track use (Strada, Sport, Corsa) and three for off-road adventures (Neve, Sabbia, Terra). The four EPS options are EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge.

In full-electric mode, the Urus SE provides over 60km of range at speeds up to 130km/h. The internal combustion engine only activates when speed exceeds this limit or when torque demand surpasses the electric motor's capacity.

Lamborghini’s Urus SE sets a new benchmark in the luxury SUV segment, blending unparalleled performance with advanced hybrid technology. This launch marks a significant step towards sustainable luxury, reinforcing Lamborghini's commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
