Vantage Automotive unveils the much-anticipated BYD DOLPHIN, marking the entry of the first hatchback into BYD’s local lineup and offering a compelling and budget-friendly option for potential EV enthusiasts.
Harnessing the e-Platform 3.0 chassis, similar to the ATTO 3, the all-new DOLPHIN showcases a range of impressive features that make it a standout choice, particularly considering its affordable price point.
Featuring a front-mounted 70 kW (94 bhp) electric motor, the DOLPHIN adheres to Category A COE regulations. Its power source is derived from a 44.9 kWh Blade battery, delivering an estimated range of 340 kilometres. Charging is swift, boasting a maximum DC charging capacity of 60kW, allowing a swift 20% to 80% charge in just 33 minutes.
Internally, the cabin prioritizes comfort and versatility, offering A-class dimensions with the spaciousness reminiscent of a B-class vehicle. The 2,700mm wheelbase, similar to its SUV counterpart, ensures ample legroom for all occupants. Standard features include ventilated front seats for enhanced comfort.
Equipped with the BYD Intelligent Cockpit System, the DOLPHIN integrates smart voice assistance, a 360-degree camera setup, wired Apple CarPlay, built-in navigation, and a captivating 12.8" display for a sophisticated driving experience.
