The upgraded Mercedes-Benz GLA, a premium crossover, has arrived in Singapore, showcasing a host of exterior and interior enhancements.
Externally, the vehicle boasts a revamped front grille featuring vertical slats alongside a redesigned bumper, imparting a more athletic appearance to the crossover.
Equipped with LED High Performance headlights and LED rear lights, this updated model introduces the new Spectral Blue exterior paint. Standard 18-inch rims come with options for additional wheel designs, reaching sizes of up to 20 inches in diameter.
Internally, significant updates define the crossover's interior. The Mercedes' MBUX system, flaunting two 10.25-inch displays as standard in Singapore, receives an overhaul. Offering three new display styles and up to 10 color variations, the updated system promises enhanced performance and wireless smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Aiding user convenience, additional USB-C ports with increased charging power are now illuminated, complemented by an improved voice assistant system capable of learning driver habits and suggesting personalized infotainment, comfort, and vehicle settings.
Opting for the individualization package unlocks gaming options like Sudoku and Shuffle Puck accessible via the central touchscreen and touch-sensitive steering wheel buttons.
For audio aficionados, an optional Burmester surround sound system, combined with the latest MBUX generation, delivers a Dolby Atmos audio experience akin to the Mercedes-AMG models, providing enhanced space, clarity, and depth to music. The GLA debuts with a 1.33-liter engine supported by a 48V mild hybrid system, generating 134bhp and 230Nm of torque.
Additionally, the Mercedes-AMG GLA35 performance variant, available in Singapore, boasts a 302bhp 2.0-liter engine producing 400Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in an impressive 5.2 seconds.
