Chinese EV Brand XPeng Debuts in Singapore with G6 Crossover at Pop-Up Showroom

XPeng, a high-tech Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand, has made its debut in Singapore, showcasing the new G6 crossover at a pop-up showroom located at UOB Plaza 2 in Raffles Place. The display will be open from July 24 for a minimum of three months.

XPeng is the second emerging Chinese EV brand introduced by Premium Automobiles, the Audi agent, following the launch of Zeekr at 9 Leng Kee Road. Currently, XPeng does not have a permanent showroom in Singapore, making its first appearance in a temporary structure situated in the heart of the central business district.

The XPeng G6 is the brand's first electric car to be launched in Singapore. This sleek crossover features coupe-like design cues, rear-wheel drive, and offers two power pack options: a 66kWh battery paired with a 190kW/258hp motor, and an 87.5kWh battery coupled with a 210kW/286hp motor. Both versions support 280kW fast charging, although Singapore's public DC chargers are mostly 50kW, with some faster options available at 120kW, 150kW, and 180kW. The larger battery variant provides a maximum WLTP range of up to 570 kilometers.

The G6 is built on a state-of-the-art platform, boasting advanced hardware and software. It offers ample space, comfort, and a high level of standard equipment. Interested customers can take advantage of test drives available at the temporary XPeng showroom.

Prices for the new XPeng G6 start at S$209,999, including Cat B COE. Additionally, UOB customers can benefit from a pre-launch package worth S$15,000.
